One of my cousins is getting married so my mom found found a cream lace dress to wear. She needed a jacket to cover her arms but wanted something that breaths since Florida weather calls for light clothing. During my last trip to the fabric store I found a cream thin knit fabric that was perfect for the occasion. I then went to find a pattern that would work well. Ultimately, I found McCall’s M6845 view C.
It calls for woven fabric but I took a chance since it would be a loose flowy garment. I also avoided the 5/8 seam allowance by using my serger; using only 1/4 in seam allowance. A neck band was added to bypass hemming it. I did however have to hem the arms and hip seams. What do you think?
